Inspiration

There can be many experiences that influence an artist. At the core, however, the singular essence of my inspiration is my life long bride. Simply stated, she animates everything I do.

Primarily oil on canvas (or board) using only archival materials and practices. Other endeavors include computer graphics, website design, song writing, musical composition and recording.

ABOUT THE IMAGES

The following slide show is a sampling of my work excluding commissioned portraits. The intent in this series of paintings is to represent those occasions when time seems to stop for an instant... yet the experience can be recalled for a lifetime.

The slides reflect the sharp focus of the work. The paintings are highly detailed, as it is the recall of details within such singular events that contributes to the power and clarity of the moment.

All works are original oil paintings. Unless otherwise noted, they are in private collections or are currently on display.
